Zartek ZA-721 Two-Way Radio

Description

The Zartek ZA-721 UHF Handheld Transceiver is a highly versatile, pocket-sized professional two-way radio fully approved by ICASA. Engineered for operational flexibility, it features a unique dual-power hybrid architecture. This allows it to function as a completely license-free PMR446 walkie-talkie out of the box, or be programmed to act as a high-powered, licensed 2W commercial radio for deeper structural penetration. Its lightweight, heavy-duty casing makes it an exceptional tool for seamless team communication in supermarkets, hotels, warehouse facilities, and event management.

Features

Ready-to-Use Communication Pre-programmed public-frequency channels provide straightforward radio-to-radio communication without subscription fees when operated on the applicable licence-free frequencies and within local regulatory requirements.
Voice Channel Annunciation Built-in voice prompts announce the selected channel number when the rotary channel control is adjusted, making it easier to confirm channel changes without needing to look at the radio.
PC Programmable An optional programming cable allows authorised configuration of supported radio settings, including channel parameters, squelch levels, Time-Out Timer (TOT), scanning functions and other programmable features.
Adjustable Squelch Multiple squelch levels allow the radio’s receive threshold to be adjusted according to operating conditions, helping reduce unwanted background noise when no valid signal is present.
Time-Out Timer (TOT) Programmable Time-Out Timer helps prevent excessively long transmissions, reducing unnecessary channel occupation and helping conserve battery power.
Channel Scanning Scanning functionality allows the radio to monitor programmed channels for activity, helping users keep track of communications across selected groups.
VOX Hands-Free Operation Voice-Operated Transmission (VOX) supports hands-free communication with compatible accessories, with adjustable sensitivity levels to suit different working environments.
Clear Audio & Noise Control A clear front-facing speaker combined with adjustable squelch settings helps provide intelligible voice communication while reducing unwanted background noise between transmissions.
Low Battery Alert Audible and visual low-battery indications alert users when battery power is running low, providing time to recharge or replace the battery before the radio becomes unavailable.
