Description

The Hytera PD4 Series is a commercial-grade line of conventional Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) handheld transceivers engineered to deliver a cost-effective path from legacy analogue to high-performing digital communication. Known for its compact, traditional form factor and outstanding voice clarity, the series is designed to handle demanding everyday operations in manufacturing, facility management, security, and education.

The series features distinct models tailored to specific workplace roles:

  • Hytera PD405: A streamlined, non-display, non-keypad model providing highly rugged, core voice communications.
  • Hytera PD415: A non-display model equipped with an integrated RFID reader, optimizing it for real-time guard tracking via the Hytera Patrol System software.
  • Hytera PD485 / PD485(G): Advanced models featuring an integrated OLED display and full physical keypad, with the “(G)” variant adding built-in GPS and Bluetooth connectivity.

Mixed Analogue and Digital Auto-Detect Automatically detects incoming analogue or digital signals and switches to the appropriate receiving mode, supporting seamless communication and gradual migration from analogue to digital radio systems.
TDMA Direct Mode Dual-Slot Capacity Uses two-slot Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology to provide two separate communication paths on a single 12.5 kHz frequency, increasing communication capacity without requiring repeater infrastructure.
Integrated RFID Asset Tracking (PD415 Only) Built-in RFID reader enables security guards and service personnel to scan designated checkpoints using their radio. Checkpoint information can be transmitted to a compatible central monitoring system for tracking and reporting.
Integrated GPS & Bluetooth (PD485 / PD485G) Model-dependent GPS location tracking and Bluetooth connectivity support personnel monitoring and wireless audio communication with compatible Bluetooth accessories.
Voice-Activated Transmission (VOX) Supports hands-free communication using Voice-Operated Transmit (VOX) functionality with compatible earpieces or audio accessories, allowing users to communicate while performing other tasks.
Advanced Digital Voice Intelligibility Digital vocoder technology and noise suppression help deliver clear, intelligible speech in noisy working environments and challenging reception conditions.
Enhanced Signalling & Encryption Safety Supports pre-programmed quick text messaging of up to 64 characters, basic digital encryption and selected digital signalling functions, including Remote Monitor, Radio Check, Emergency Alarm and Stun/Unstun decoding, depending on model and configuration.
