  • Class D DSC: Offered enhanced safety by allowing users to send a distress message with the push of a button. The radio would also continuously monitor Channel 70 for DSC activity.
  • IPX7 submersible protection: The transceiver and supplied hand microphone could withstand being submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
  • AquaQuake™ draining: Emitted a vibrating sound to clear water from the speaker grille, ensuring clear communication even after submersion.
