Celebrated for its unique hardware innovations—including Full Duplex calling and single-frequency repeater capability—this high-tier flagship radio was built for mission-critical command structures, emergency response teams, public utilities, and top-tier security operations.

Important Lifecycle Notice: The Hytera PD985 and PD985G have been officially discontinued (End of Life). This strategic retirement allows for the full transition to Hytera’s next-generation, high-performance H-Series flagship—the Hytera HP785, which delivers a significantly slimmer profile, longer battery life, and AI-driven noise cancellation.

Single Frequency Repeater (SFR) Single Frequency Repeater functionality enables the radio to receive and retransmit compatible DMR communications using separate time slots on the same frequency. When enabled and correctly configured, this can extend local communication coverage into challenging areas such as tunnels, basements and other signal-restricted locations without requiring a conventional repeater installation.
Full Duplex Voice Calling Supports simultaneous two-way voice communication in compatible full-duplex configurations, allowing users to speak and listen at the same time without conventional push-to-talk operation. Availability depends on the network, firmware and supported calling features.
2.0-Inch Colour Display Bright 2.0-inch TFT colour display provides clear access to radio menus, caller information, channel settings and text messaging functions in a variety of lighting conditions.
Smart Audio & Noise Suppression High-output 2.5 W internal speaker combines with optimised acoustic design and noise suppression technology to deliver clear, powerful voice communication in demanding industrial environments.
Bluetooth 4.0 & Voice Recording Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 supports compatible wireless audio accessories and data connectivity. A microSD card slot enables supported voice recording functions for capturing radio communications, subject to storage and configuration requirements.
IP68 Environmental Protection Rugged, dust-tight construction with IP68 protection, rated for immersion in water up to 2 metres deep for 4 hours under specified test conditions. Designed for reliable operation in wet, dusty and demanding workplaces.
