The Icom IC-F5123D/F6123D series is engineered for businesses and public service operations that demand long-range, bulletproof mobile communications. Built with a rugged, military-tested chassis, it features an 8-character alphanumeric backlit LCD paired with large, highly accessible programmable keys.
Its most defining feature is Smart Mixed-Mode Operation, which monitors both analog and digital signals on a single channel and replies using the correct mode automatically. Pumping out up to 50 watts of transmit power (VHF) alongside a powerful front-facing cabin speaker, this series ensures crystal-clear clarity across vast communication footprints

ADVANCED OPERATIONAL & INFRASTRUCTURE FEATURES
Scalable IDAS Digital Networks Supports NXDN digital conventional operation, IDAS multi-site conventional networks and compatible single-site trunking configurations. Provides flexible network expansion, Radio Access Number (RAN) management and support for up to 500 talkgroups in applicable system configurations.
6.25 kHz Narrowband Efficiency Uses NXDN FDMA digital technology with 6.25 kHz channel spacing, enabling efficient use of available radio spectrum and increased channel capacity compared with wider channel allocations, subject to licensing and system configuration.
Mixed Analogue & Digital Operation Supports operation across programmed analogue and digital channels, allowing organisations to transition gradually from existing analogue radio systems to NXDN digital communication networks.
Lone Worker Safety Function Programmable inactivity monitoring provides an audible warning when the radio has not been operated for a specified period. If the operator does not respond, a configured emergency alert can be transmitted to improve worker safety.
Digital Messaging & Telemetry Supports short data messages of up to 100 characters, up to 100 preset status messages, PTT identification, call alerts and supported digital voice privacy functions for improved fleet communication and management.
Remote Stun, Kill & Revive Compatible over-the-air remote control functions allow authorised system operators to disable lost or compromised radios and restore operation when appropriate, subject to programming and network support.
GPS Fleet Tracking Capability Supports integration with an external GPS receiver through a compatible interface, including the optional OPC-2078 D-SUB 25-pin cable. Enables location data transmission for compatible fleet tracking and dispatch applications.
