The Icom IC-F5012 (VHF) and IC-F6012 (UHF) are commercial-grade analog mobile two-way radios designed for straightforward, reliable in-vehicle or desktop base station configurations. Engineered as aggressively priced, entry-level workhorses, this series strips away distracting screens to offer simple point-and-talk communication for taxi fleets, logistics teams, agricultural sectors, and security firms.

Important Lifecycle Notice: The Icom IC-F5012 / IC-F6012 series has been officially discontinued by the manufacturer. Within Icom’s analog land-mobile portfolio, it has been directly succeeded by the Icom IC-F5022 / IC-F6022 series, which delivers enhanced channel capacities and features while maintaining backwards compatibility with the same power cables, microphones, and mounting dimensions.

Simple Four-Button Operation Four large programmable front-panel keys (P0–P3) provide convenient access to frequently used functions such as channel scanning, transmit power selection and monitor mode. The straightforward interface makes everyday radio operation easy for staff.
Powerful Front-Mounted Audio Built-in 4 W front-facing speaker delivers clear, powerful voice communication in vehicles and noisy working environments. A dedicated volume control allows quick adjustment of audio levels.
Multi-Tone Analogue Signalling Supports 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signalling for selective communication and controlled squelch operation. Can decode up to ten 2-Tone or eight 5-Tone codes per channel, with programmable responses such as audible alerts, automatic transmissions and compatible external signalling functions.
MDC 1200 Signalling Integrated MDC 1200 signalling supports PTT identification, emergency alerts and compatible remote stun, kill and revive functions, depending on system programming and dispatch infrastructure.
Priority Channel Scanning Programmable priority scanning allows operators to monitor important communication channels while scanning other programmed frequencies. A nuisance delete function temporarily removes unwanted busy channels from the scan sequence.
Internal Accessory Expansion Internal 40-pin expansion socket supports compatible optional modules, including the UT-108R DTMF decoder and UT-109R / UT-110R voice scrambler units, providing additional signalling and basic voice privacy capabilities.
