The Icom IC-F7000 is a commercial-grade, high-frequency (HF) land mobile transceiver engineered specifically for reliable, long-distance voice and data communications. It was built for environments where standard telephone networks, line-of-sight VHF, or UHF infrastructures are unavailable, unreliable, or non-existent, making it a staple tool for government agencies, humanitarian aid organizations, military networks, and remote industrial teams.

Important Lifecycle Notice: The Icom IC-F7000 has been officially discontinued (End of Life). Within Icom’s professional land-mobile portfolio, it has been directly replaced by the next-generation Icom IC-F8101 model, which features upgraded software-defined processing, improved data capabilities, and updated Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) standards.

ADVANCED INFRASTRUCTURE FEATURES
Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) Integrated Automatic Link Establishment supports FED-STD-1045 and MIL-STD-188-141 protocols. The system evaluates available HF communication channels and selects a suitable frequency based on signal conditions, improving long-distance communication reliability.
Selective Calling (Selcall) Supports individual and group selective calling using programmable 4-digit or 6-digit station identification codes. Allows operators to contact specific radio stations while reducing unnecessary call alerts across the network.
Remote Control Head Design Separate main radio chassis and compact remote control head provide flexible installation options. The main unit can be positioned in a vehicle compartment or equipment cabinet while the lightweight controller remains accessible to the operator.
Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Integrated DSP technology provides noise reduction, voice squelch control and digital signal filtering to improve voice clarity and reception in challenging HF operating conditions.
HF Data & Email Communication Supports AFSK and FSK data operation. When connected to compatible external data equipment and software, the radio can be used for text messaging, data transmission and HF email applications over long distances.
External GPS Integration Dedicated GPS interface supports connection to a compatible external NMEA GPS receiver, enabling location information to be incorporated into supported position reporting and communication systems.
