The Icom IC-M36 is a highly celebrated, analog VHF handheld marine radio renowned for introducing revolutionary audio technologies to the maritime industry. It was the first marine handheld to feature an intelligent dual-microphone active noise cancellation system, establishing it as a premium safety tool for boaters, sailors, and commercial mariners working on loud, open decks.

Important Notice: The Icom IC-M36 has been officially discontinued (End of Life). It has been succeeded in the Icom marine lineup by the next-generation Icom IC-M37, which preserves the hallmark features of the M36 while offering upgraded battery capacity, improved ergonomics, and a louder speaker system.

ADVANCED MARITIME FEATURES
Dual-Microphone Noise Cancellation Features a front-mounted voice microphone and a secondary microphone on the rear casing. The secondary microphone detects surrounding noise, allowing the radio to reduce unwanted background sounds such as engine noise and wind for clearer voice transmissions.
Automatic Audio & Volume Adjustment Automatically adjusts the received audio volume according to surrounding noise levels. Helps operators hear incoming communications clearly when moving between quieter areas and noisy marine environments.
One-Touch LOUD Button A dedicated LOUD button provides an immediate volume boost for improved audibility in noisy conditions. Pressing and holding the button activates the audio mute function for quick, convenient sound control.
AquaQuake Water Draining Function Uses a low-frequency vibrating sound to help expel water trapped around the speaker grille after exposure to water. Helps restore clear audio performance in wet marine conditions.
Multi-Channel Watch & Scanning Supports priority scanning, Dualwatch and Tri-watch functions for monitoring multiple marine channels. Allows operators to monitor an active working channel while maintaining a watch on emergency and calling Channel 16 and, where configured, Channel 9.
